San Andreas Fault near Palm Springs

Near Palm Springs, the San Andreas fault is less well defined than in the north, the geological feature monolithic fracture into smaller parts, running in different directions. The cracks caused by ground fault Groundwater easy travel to the surface and are responsible for many desert oasis is along the east side of the Coachella Valley. You can see near an oasis in the Coachella Valley on the east side of I-10 (and to remain above the free throw line) 1000 Canyon Palms Preserve (29200 1000 Palms Canyon Rd) in the city of Thousand Palms, Ramon Road exit.

Perform all these little cracks also hot mineral springs, most of them near the city of Desert Hot Springs.

A better way to get the error near Palm Springs approach to take a jeep tour with an experienced guide. Our favorite is the San Andreas Fault Adventures Desert Adventures, which takes you into the canyons and along the fault through desert and oasis, (shown in the picture above) to a point where the Pacific Plate and the geological cross North America.
